Global Cure is a youth run non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness for disparities within healthcare. We aim to bring light to healthcare discrepancies that are present as a result of socioeconomic/sociocultural reasons and at the very same time, empower our youth to take their own action against such problems.
At Global Cure, we have three main goals: Awareness, Empowerment, and Action.
Empowerment: Mentor and guide students into starting their own chapters where they can initiate social media campaigns, and fundraising campaigns. At Global Cure, we hope to mentor these students into becoming leaders who will one day shape the healthcare landscape.
Awareness: We want to raise awareness regarding healthcare discrepancies that present both locally and also abroad. We hope to aid in the process of raising awareness against issues such as the opioid epidemic in Vancouver, malnutrition in Kenya, and clean water access worldwide.
Action: Global Cure has several high-school chapters throughout Canada, and each of these chapters launch to raise funds for public health issues in a data-driven manner. Furthermore, we also partnered up with organizations such as CHIUS and Global Health Initiative at UBC to systematically target public health problems such as malnutrition and clinics for impoverished populations in down-town eastside and indigenous people of Canada.
And our action is a culmination of our various projects, click our projects page to learn more.
